Kailash Tour 2012 is proposed for those who are looking to travel via Lhasa and visit together cultural heart of Tibet. Upon arrival in Lhasa you will be stopped there for two days guided sightseeing which will allow you to explore most highlighted spots of around including popular Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka and Tibetan traditional Bharkhor market. Altogether your first four days of entire tour will be spent in Lhasa for excellent sightseeing tour and proper acclimatization. After visiting this ancient historic city Lhasa your tour will continue towards the holy Mt Kailash and Mansarovar Lake. Along the overland journey you will be passing several traditional Tibetan villages and towns and in main towns where you overnight you will explore all the major monuments and other attractions of around.

About six days of long overland journey you will arrive at Mansarovar Lake and there you will halt a day to explore surrounding wonders. From there you will continue trek to circuit the holy Mt Kailash. The circuit around the holy mountain-clockwise for the Buddhists, counter-clockwise for Bon adherents is known as a Kora or Parikrama and normally takes three days. Pilgrimage to this great sacred mountain and magical scenery is the most precious of pilgrimage for both Tibetan and Indian people, a journey they hope to experience at least once in a lifetime.

This tour can start and end at Kathmandu (Nepal). Or can start from China to Lhasa then end at Kathmandu or vice versa.

Day 01:  Arrival in Lhasa (3660m) check in hotel and overnight Hotel
Day 02:  Lhasa sightseeing (Potala Palace, Jorkhang and Barkhor), O/n Hotel
Day 03:  Lhasa sightseeing (Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery), O/n Hotel
Day 04:  Drive to Gyantse - Shigatse (3800m) sightseeing and overnight at hotel
Day 05:  Drive to Lhatse (4350m) and overnight at hotel
Day 06:  Drive to Saga (4450m) and overnight at hotel
Day 07:  Drive to Manasarovar (4558m) and overnight
Day 08:  Drive to Darchen and overnight at hotel
Day 09:  Trek to Dira-Puk Monastery (5000m) and overnight at hotel
Day 10:  Trek to Zutul-Puk and overnight at hotel
Day 11:  Trek Back to Darchen and overnight at hotel
Day 12:  Drive to Saga (4450m) and overnight at hotel
Day 13:  Drive to Nyalam or Zhangmu (2600m) and overnight at hotel
Day 14:  Drive Zhangmu to Kathmandu (1300m) and overnight at hotel
Day 15:  Transfer to Airport for departure
